Descriptions

Short

The Central Nexus is a cyber-fantasy role-playing game in development. You arrive in an impossible city with no logout, and decide what to do beneath a hundred-floor Tower.

Medium

The Central Nexus is a cyber-fantasy role-playing game in development, based on its creator's homebrew tabletop campaign. You arrive in an impossible, inhabited city with no logout and three lives, talk with the people who live there, make choices that sometimes turn on a die roll, and fight turn by turn. A hundred-floor Tower stands over the city. A private prototype exists. No public demo is available yet.

Long

The Central Nexus is a cyber-fantasy role-playing game in development, based on its creator's homebrew tabletop campaign. You arrive in an impossible city that appears to have no exit: the logout is missing, and you have three lives. At the centre of the city stands a Tower of a hundred floors, and a figure named Aethereon announces the rules from the sky. Around the Tower is an inhabited city of taverns, shops, lanes and rooftop gardens. In the early prototype you talk to the people you meet, choose what to say, with some choices decided by a visible die roll, fight turn by turn, and shape how your character looks. The wider game is planned around portals to other worlds. A private prototype exists for Windows. Nothing is public yet. It is planned for Steam and itch.io, and no price or release date is announced. The Central Nexus is made by one developer in the United States.
